Information We Collect

We collect account information you provide (such as your name and email), usage data from your interactions with daily scenarios and learning modules, and billing details processed securely through our payment provider.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to personalize your training scenarios, generate AI-driven behavioral insights, track your progress, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Product Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people use DecideTrace so we can improve it. It records events such as opening the app, viewing an onboarding step, viewing a scenario, submitting a decision, seeing a result or pattern, and tapping an upgrade link. Each event is linked to your account user id and a random identifier stored on your device (on the website, in local storage and a first-party cookie), along with basic device and browser information such as browser type, operating system and screen size. We do not send your name or email to PostHog, and PostHog does not record your screen or what you type.

On the website we also use Microsoft Clarity and HubSpot. Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and session replays, so we can improve the website. HubSpot helps us understand website visits and manage contact with people who reach out to us.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the website does not load PostHog, Microsoft Clarity or HubSpot. When product analytics is enabled and you delete your account, we also ask PostHog to delete the analytics data linked to your user id.

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry to find and fix errors and slow screens. When something breaks, Sentry receives error details such as the error message, the page or request where it happened, the app version, limited performance data, and device and browser information. The only account detail we attach is your user id. We remove cookies and sign-in headers before error reports are sent, and on the website and our servers we also remove email addresses.

Service Providers

We share data with providers that help us run DecideTrace: Clerk for sign-in, Apple and Google if you sign in with them, Stripe for payments, SnapTrade if you choose to connect a brokerage account, xAI to generate AI insights, Resend to send email, Railway, Vercel and Neon to host the app and its database, Google Fonts to load the website's fonts (your browser contacts Google to fetch them), your browser's push service if you turn on notifications, Microsoft Clarity and HubSpot for website insights, PostHog for product analytics, and Sentry for error monitoring. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.

Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your account and activity data, including encrypted storage and secure authentication.

Your Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our support team at hello@decidetrace.com. You can delete your account from your settings. To opt out of website analytics, turn on Do Not Track in your browser.
